Minutes from the 7/8/03 meeting
- Past runs / old business
- June 13-14 Marlin Roundup. Terry, Leonel, Art, and

rewarding side trip to S. Tahoe.
- June 28th Terry and Jay went to Rubicon for Day trip.
Leonel missed due to engine issues
- July 4th Fri-Sat High Lakes. Joe, Alicia, Andrew, and
Randy had a great time. They explored trails, removed
downed trees, and saw cool abandoned mining equipment.
There was snow over 6000ft.
- Don & Terry went on a day trip to deer valley/slick
rock on 4th of July. One highlight was seeing an H2 do the
stair steps. Terry bent his driveshaft (see below for Cow
Bell nomination). They didn't get home until 4AM
- Congrats to Tom and Sarah Mertz. They got married last
weekend.
- Jackets have arrived. If you weren't at the meeting,
Terry will have them at the next, due to Andrew being in
Baja next month.
- Vehicle Projects
- Marco is finally doing something. The king cab will be
trail ready in about 2 months. Marlin will be building it.
The truck will be taken to Fresno tomorrow.
- Terry needs a new driveshaft
- Joe's F250 ('94?) had a check engine light. Ended up
replacing exhaust manifold, stud bolts on head, port/polish
head, Banks kit, etc. Awesome power

- July 26th Barrett lake - Due to the trail possibly being
unopened due to snow, there is an alternate plan: Strawberry

@ McDonalds for breakfast in Placerville. 10am will leave
McDonalds.
- August 3rd start day for Baja run - 1 week long - Andrew

seasonal closing run
- November Turkey Trot - Joe will provide details in
upcoming meetings.
- December Event(s) - Andrew suggested a club X-mas party.
Terry offered his house for a BBQ. Alicia suggested
focusing on Toys for Tots. Possibly combining the two would
get a better turnout for both.... Alicia "volunteered" to
be the trail boss. ;-)
- Club Hats- ??? more to come soon.
- Club finances- the club is ok
financially. We have enough funds in the bank to cover all
expected expenses for the rest of this fiscal year (until next
june). Details were given at the meeting. Please contact
Marco for details, as they will not be posted on the internet
with these minutes.
- Cow Bell Award
- Terry was nominated for the cow bell award for the
following: After banging up his driveshaft, he noticed a
vibration on the hwy. They pulled over to remove the
driveshaft, but couldn't due to bolts being too tight.
Terry and Don were already running late into the night.
After wasting lots of time, Terry remembered that he had an
impact. They got home at 4am.
- Leonel (not present) was nominated for thinking of
selling his truck
- Andrew is the winner of the cow bell award. He wins for
getting "stuck" where Joe's parents mad it through in a
stock Cherokee. Andrew didn't lock his hubs.
